Terms of service

1. Who we are

Elite Window Tinting Inc. ("Elite," "we," "us") is a window film installation company founded in 2013. On the Emerald Coast we operate as a mobile-only installer based in Navarre, Florida: we have no storefront, and all work is performed at the location you give us. By requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or having work performed, you agree to these terms.

2. What we do

We install automotive, residential, commercial and marine window film. We do not manufacture film. Product performance claims are the manufacturer's, and we will show you the actual spec sheet for any film you are considering.

3. Quotes and estimates

Quotes are free and carry no obligation, and are valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise in writing. A quote is based on the information you give us — vehicle year, make and model, glass count, square footage, or condition. If the actual job differs from what was described, we will tell you the revised price before starting work, and you can decline at no charge.

4. Scheduling and cancellations

Appointments are confirmed by phone, text, or through our online booking. Because every install is mobile, we need a safe, reasonably level place to work and access to the glass; we will confirm the address and any site requirements when you book. We ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Larger residential and commercial jobs may require a deposit; if so, we will tell you the amount and the terms before you book. We may need to reschedule for weather — film cannot be installed safely in rain, high wind or extreme cold, and we will not install in conditions that compromise the result.

5. Florida tint law — please read this one

Florida law sets minimum visible light transmission (VLT) limits: 28% on front side windows for all vehicles; 15% on rear sides and back glass for passenger cars; 6% for SUVs, trucks and vans behind the driver (Fla. Stat. § 316.2954). Two things follow from that. First, we will not install film darker than Florida allows — under Fla. Stat. § 316.2956 installing illegal film is a criminal offense for the installer, not just a ticket for the driver, so this is not negotiable. Second, VLT is measured on film plus your factory glass together, so a film rated "35%" meters darker than 35% once it is on your car. We meter your actual glass before installing so your vehicle is legal when it leaves. If you hold a medical exemption issued by the Florida DHSMV, bring the certificate to your appointment and we will install to what your exemption permits. You are responsible for keeping the state-required compliance sticker in place if one applies to your installation.

6. Your responsibilities after installation

Window film needs time to cure. To keep your warranty valid: leave windows up for two to four days after installation, and expect full cure to take up to 30 days in Florida humidity. Light haze, small water pockets or slight cloudiness during the cure period are normal and clear on their own. Never use ammonia-based cleaners — most blue glass cleaners — on filmed glass, because ammonia breaks down the adhesive; use a non-ammonia cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not scrape, stick suction cups to, or apply adhesives to filmed glass.

7. Warranty

Film we install carries a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading, cracking and delamination, for as long as you own the vehicle or property. The warranty covers the film and our labor to replace it. It does not cover damage from ammonia cleaners, scraping, abrasives or improper cleaning; damage from accidents, break-ins, vandalism, hail or storm debris; film removed, altered or serviced by anyone other than Elite; glass that was chipped, cracked or defective before we started; or normal, expected characteristics of film such as slight texture or minimal dot-matrix gaps at the edges. We keep your installation on file, so you do not need to produce a receipt to make a claim. Contact us at (850) 930-1195 or jesse@elitenavarre.com and we will schedule an inspection.

8. Pre-existing conditions

Some risks are inherent to working on glass that already exists. Rear defroster lines are a printed circuit sitting on the glass surface; on old film removals, lines occasionally lift despite careful work. We use heat and proper technique to minimize this, but we cannot guarantee an undamaged grid when removing aged or poorly-installed film. Chipped, cracked or stress-fractured glass can worsen during installation or removal — we will point out any damage we see before starting, and you accept the risk of pre-existing damage propagating. Aftermarket accessories such as alarms, sensors, wraps and deflectors may need to be worked around, and we are not responsible for the condition of parts we did not install. We will always show you a problem before we work around it.

9. Payment

Work is complete and payable upon your inspection and acceptance on site, at completion. We will confirm accepted payment methods when you book.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent Florida law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to work we perform is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost time, rental costs or lost income. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Photos of our work

We may photograph completed work for our website and social media. Photos show the vehicle or property only — never your name, address or plate. Tell us at your appointment if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Santa Rosa County, Florida. We may update these terms; the version posted on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to your job.
